Mywellness alternative

A Technogym Mywellness alternative: member admin on your PC

Technogym Mywellness is a cloud platform for member engagement: app, booking, training programmes, equipment data, content and marketing, while member records and memberships usually run through a partner management system. If that admin part is what you need, meaning members, medical certificates, memberships and classes, an alternative is cronowiz Studio: a €199 one-time PC program that does it on its own and works offline.

Gym overview in cronowiz Studio: active members, today's classes, subscriptions and medical certificates to follow up, with phone numbers alongside

Mywellness is made by Technogym S.p.A. of Cesena, Italy, and sold in plans: Starter with member and staff apps, class and staff scheduling, a programme library, shop and journey automations; Program with custom programmes, questionnaires and functional tests; Boost with omnichannel campaigns, advanced analytics and challenges; Go Hybrid with custom on-demand content, trainer chat and unsupervised training on the Mywellness Kiosk; Enterprise with modules embedded in a chain’s own app. Prices are not published: you book a demo. Technogym says more than 30,000 facilities and 40 million users are registered.

For member administration Mywellness relies on partners: it integrates with management systems for check-ins and payments, and a Technogym press release says it is compatible with more than 140 membership software products in over 30 countries. In Italy, TeamSystem Wellness in Cloud is one of them. Whether Mywellness alone covers membership contracts and invoicing is not stated.

cronowiz Studio does the opposite job: it is the front-desk system. A program for Windows 10/11 and 64-bit Linux, made by YPT Srl in Italy, it keeps members, medical certificates, plans, memberships, the schedule and reports in one file on the gym’s computer. It costs €199 once, runs without internet after purchase and has no member limit.

Two products for two different jobs

Mywellness works on the relationship with the member: it follows them in the app, assigns programmes, collects data from machines and wearables, and brings them back with challenges and campaigns. Contracts, payments and full member records normally stay in a connected management system, which is paid for separately.

Studio works on the desk: who is a member, which plan they hold, when their certificate expires, who is on the waiting list, who is likely not to renew. It has no member app and no content, but it does not need a second system for administration. For a club already using Mywellness, Studio is not an add-on: the two programs do not exchange data.

Do you need Technogym equipment?

No. According to the Mywellness pages, the platform connects to Technogym connected equipment but also to cardio and strength machines from any brand that support Bluetooth FTMS, to wearables, body composition analysers and apps such as Strava, Garmin, Apple, Polar and Fitbit. Technogym does say that the most complete member profile comes from its own machines.

Studio does not depend on any equipment. Training analysis starts from .fit files and backups of the free cronowiz app: fitness, fatigue and form on the Banister model, the acute:chronic workload ratio, readiness from HRV, zones and VO2max, 1RM and tonnage. Linking a member to an athlete feeds their workouts into the reports and the at-risk list.

When Mywellness is the better choice, and when Studio is

Mywellness fits medium and large clubs, especially those with Technogym equipment, that want a club-branded app, booking and payment from the phone, digital programmes, on-demand content and hybrid training, automated marketing, or modules inside a chain’s own app. Technogym also lists hotels, corporate gyms, schools and health facilities among its target customers.

Studio fits small and medium gyms, pilates and yoga studios, boxes and personal trainers who work at the desk, want a single purchase and their data on their own computer, and do not need an app or content. If the gym’s connection is unreliable, Studio keeps working.

Your gym in one program. Your data in your gym.

The questions people usually ask

How much does Technogym Mywellness cost?

Technogym does not publish prices: the plans page describes features and points to a demo or contact form. A partner membership system, if you need one, comes on top.

Does Mywellness work without Technogym equipment?

Yes. The platform states support for other brands’ machines that use Bluetooth FTMS and for many wearables. Technogym machines, according to the company, give the most complete data.

Does Mywellness replace gym management software?

Not entirely, according to public sources: for check-ins and payments it integrates with partner management software, in Italy for example TeamSystem Wellness in Cloud. Whether it covers contracts and invoicing on its own is not stated.

Can I use Studio together with Mywellness?

Not as a connected system: Studio has no Mywellness integration and the two do not exchange data. Studio is meant to replace the member admin system, not the training app.

Can members book from their phone with Studio?

No. Bookings are entered at the desk in Studio’s schedule, with capacity and waiting list. For phone booking you need a platform such as Mywellness.

Does Studio run on a Mac?

No. It runs on Windows 10/11 and 64-bit Linux (AppImage or .deb). There is no macOS or web version.
