Gymdesk is cloud gym software popular with martial arts gyms and small boxes. Pricing is monthly by active members, using Gymdesk Payments: $75 up to 50 members, $100 up to 100, $150 up to 150, $200 up to 250, custom beyond that. Without Gymdesk Payments it is $25–40 more. No contracts or setup fees, data export at any time, and a 30-day free trial with no credit card.
The features go beyond the front desk: memberships, billing and payments, booking, email and SMS, reports, facility access control, a mobile app, a website builder and unlimited staff. It is a package meant to run the whole business in one place.
cronowiz Studio covers the management side with a different model: a program for Windows 10/11 and 64-bit Linux, €199 once for the whole major version you buy, unlimited members. The data sits in a file on the gym’s computer and the program works without internet. At the published rates, the licence costs less than three months of Gymdesk’s lowest band.

Subscription by members or a licence on your PC
Gymdesk has a clean model: no contracts, public prices, exportable data. It is still a fee paid every month that rises with member bands, and a service that will not open without a connection.
Studio is paid once and runs on the front-desk computer. The licence is tied to that computer and can be moved to another up to 3 times, started from the old one while it is online. There is no web version and no app: whoever picks it does so knowing that.
When Gymdesk is the better choice
Gymdesk fits better if you want to collect dues by automatic billing, if entry is handled by an access system, if you need a website or a member app, or if you send email and SMS from the system. Studio has none of these.
It is also more convenient if several people work from phones or tablets, or if you want to try before paying: Gymdesk offers 30 days free.
How a day goes with Studio
You open the program and the overview tells you who has expired and who expires today, this week or within 30 days, with phone numbers. At the desk you sell, renew, suspend or cancel memberships; suspension moves the end date, cancellation records the refund.
Classes are handled from the schedule, with capacity, waiting list and no-shows. One-off appointments, such as a private session or a trial, go in the same schedule, which flags clashes. The actual payment is taken with whatever you already use.
Your gym in one program. Your data in your gym.

The questions people usually ask
How much does Gymdesk cost?
With Gymdesk Payments, from $75 a month up to 50 members to $200 up to 250, custom beyond; without it, $25–40 more. These are the official page’s prices as of 7 October 2026.
Can I take my data with me, as with Gymdesk?
Gymdesk states that data can be exported at any time. In Studio the database is already a file on your computer: you make a full backup from the settings, and reports export to CSV.
Can I run a martial arts gym with Studio?
Yes for members, memberships, certificates and classes. Studio does not have the access control, recurring billing or website that Gymdesk includes.
What if the computer breaks?
If you have a backup, you install Studio on another computer, move the licence and restore the database exactly as it was. The licence can be transferred up to 3 times.
Does Studio send reminders to members?
No. Studio lists expiries every day with phone numbers, but you send the messages. There are no email or SMS campaigns.
