The form is not there for you. An account exists so the workout can be attached to an identity, and the identity to a profile, and the profile to whatever the business model turns out to be. For a countdown and a bell, none of that is required — it is a product decision, not a technical one.
cronoWiz has no sign-up at all. You open it, pick a timer, and go. Presets are stored in the browser on the device you are using, which means they are there tomorrow and gone if you delete the app, with nothing left behind on a server because there is no server to leave it on.
If you want the sessions on another phone, you export an encrypted file with a passphrase you choose, or send them device to device. Both are things you do on purpose, not defaults you have to find and switch off.

What “no account” costs you, precisely
It is worth being straight about the trade, because “no account” is not free. There is no password reset, because there is no password. There is no automatic sync between your phone and your tablet. If you clear the browser’s site data, or delete the app without exporting first, the presets and the history are gone and nobody can restore them — not you, and not us, because we never had a copy.
What you get in exchange is that there is no copy to lose to anyone else either. No profile is built, no email is on file, nothing needs deleting when you stop using it, and no change of ownership or business model can retroactively turn your training history into someone’s asset. There is no cronoWiz server that receives your sessions, so there is nothing there to breach, subpoena, or sell.
For most people using a timer, that trade is obviously the right way round. If you specifically want your data mirrored across devices without thinking about it, it is the wrong app, and it is better to know that on this page than after a month of sessions.
Moving everything to a new phone
The presets and the diary live in IndexedDB, in the browser or the installed app on the device you are using. Moving them is one deliberate action rather than a background process, and there are two ways to do it.
The first is a file: export a .cwbackup with a passphrase you choose, move it however you move files, and import it on the new device. The file is encrypted with that passphrase, cronoWiz never sees it, and there is no recovery path if you lose it — which is the same property that makes the file safe to put in a normal cloud drive or email it to yourself.
The second is a direct device-to-device transfer with both devices to hand, which skips the file entirely. Either way it happens because you did it, on the day you decided to, rather than continuously by default with a switch buried three screens into a settings page.

Where are my presets stored?
In IndexedDB, in the browser or the installed app on the device you are using. There is no cronoWiz server that receives them.
What if I change phone?
Export an encrypted .cwbackup file with a passphrase you pick and import it on the new device, or move it straight over a direct connection. cronoWiz never sees the passphrase and cannot recover it.
Is there a catch — ads, a pro version?
Neither. There is no paid tier and no advertising. We do not sell data because we never receive any.
